2.43ct untreated solid Coober Pedy opal from Australia oval faceted loose gem

A solid opal from the Coober Pedy area of Australia.

The Coober Pedy mines are known for producing this type of material, the beautiful pure snowy creamy white background with this sparkles of pinfire that earn this gem its fans.

This opal weighs 2.43cts.

The opal is oval faceted and it is done well, the faceting is smooth and well polished, the back of the gem shows natural flaws as the gem is Earth mined and untreated and these flaws form part of the gems beauty.
 
There are natural flaw lines/cracks however these are not impact cracks and they are not surface reachinng, they are more lines than cracks and they form as the gem forms, though they are not massive it is still fair that the buyer knows this.

The images wash out the opal, it looks better than the video shows.
