A loose star sapphire from Sri Lanka.
 
This sapphire has a light cornflower blue to it with good, even colour saturation.
 
The star on this gem does not show wwell but in real life, the star is gentle but there and the star is a 6 ray star sapphire.
 
5.50cts, large gem.

The gem is an untreated natural gem, the gem is just faceted from rough and then polished  and it is very well faceted and polished.
