The Fairbairn Sykes knife/dagger is synonymous with the British military, it has been a tool for many missions owing to the knife being designed for easy of usage.
 
The knife comprises a Sheffield steel blade, this one marked with the Wilkinson sword logo of that era of the 2nd pattern of these knives and a logo stating what the tool is, a copper hilt with brass coating and a steel pommel nut to keep the blade secure during exiting missions.
 
The knife is held, loosely with a leather scabbard with brass coating.
 
There is wear to the scabbard and the knife, this is a knife that has been owned by a soldier and owned by collectors so please do know that, it is not a brand new knife, it is a piece of history and part of that history is patina.
